Reading the description and comments of the novel, it seems the author tried to create a novel mixing traits of mysticism novels and something akin to those like Blood Warlock and SS which have systems. If anyone can verify whether it can stimulate a similar feeling of character attachment, a sense of mystery here and a sense of thrill there, I'm ready delve into the mysterious story of a likeable main character that I hope here to be.

what's the principal's actual goal regarding mc and does the mc considered as rogue in later part of the story? He continuously growing stronger does it not seem suspicious to other especially that principal...

All the headmaster wants a mystical item called the creation ring. He believes Heinz can create more ‘Vales’ so the headmaster views Vale as an expendable tool to get the ring from the tower challenge in the tournament. Headmaster says he will give back Vale’s shadow if he gives him the ring. But once Vale gets his shadow back he is no longer considered part of Vermont Academy, so he goes rouge.

i have read 350/512 chapters available now. it has some good things that i like like accademy par is done well as well as system seems to be build well .its just mc feel bland as he dosent seem to have any goal and the mysteris that author is trying to create dosent entice us that much. it has potential to be a lot great and author might be able to do it in future . i will give it 8/10 for now counting its potential it can be 9-9.5/10 in future if author makes character more interesting. (i am droping it for now and will continue again after collecting some more chapters)

I've now read all released chapters (512). I would recommend this, while it's not at the level of the top novels, it's quite good and has a couple things going for it. The MC has really OP abilities, but he's put into a disadvantageous position in the world (both in terms of being a poor commoner and later practicing 'dark arts', a type of arcanist that is somewhat oppressed). Unlike so many of these novels, he progresses quickly enough that you see significant change, he goes from being not even a magic user (a standard human child) to meeting and exceeding high level enemies he encounters very quickly within the chapters available (512). Also, unlike so many novels this is a world of mystery and magic, where "oh he reached circle 5" or some arbitrary cultivation level makes it obvious who he can beat and lose to, the setting here has magic that could be deadly to anyone if used in the right situation or with enough preparation. The MC is very vulnerable even though he's strong.

Like this isn’t a bad read but it definitely does not deserve rank 11 especially when considering some of the other novels below it.

Rankings are based off user activity, as if you go to “browse” and you want to sort the rankings you click “popular.” The rankings are literally arbitrary and don’t mean much, although yes, you can argue those that stay within the top 10ish are good novels since they’re always popular, you can often gauge how good the novel is by how long it stays high rank and since this is one of the newer releases, it would naturally have a lot of user activity, so its rank 11 makes sense. My point is: although ranks are sometimes indicative of quality, most often times, it’s not, as I’m sure most of us can agree the some novels in the top 20 are there just based off purely the satisfaction/enjoyment factor and not the quality of writing

Almost the entire comment section is dissing the novel but it got 4.5 rating and at rank 11!? This is probably the most contradiction I have seen in a novel on this site.

bro there is only 15 reviews, 4.5/5 doesn't really mean anything, and a top 10 on pirate site also doesn't really mean much

Top 10 on official webnovel site also doesn’t mean good quality

True but I would take this sites rating more at face value than Webnovel(official site) any time of the day. I have seen absolute Diarrhea of novels reaching top 10 on webnovel and D-grade sm*t novels are always shoved in recommendations there. This pirate site is 1000 times better than webnovel in that regards, though nowhere near perfect it arguably got the best ranking out of any other site.

True but this website has not really handled the problem of rating novels properly. And the number of times I have seen some novels that have reduced my IQ get top spots in webnovel.

On webnovel you just need to know which ranking to choose depending on what you are looking for, what filters to use and what date range, etc! If you do things correctly the rankings will be good (As long as these are novels supported by WN, obviously Japanese web/light novels or others are not taken into account, It's also unrepresentative with old novels but, it's the same everywhere)
