In the Solarian Empire, people were divided by their blood. The nobles enjoyed their life in wealth, with fine wine and amazing food. They reigned supreme over the commoners. The only reason they were able to do this was that they had knowledge of the most powerful force in the world - magic. The nobles controlled their knowledge from easily going to commoners, making it harder for them to learn magic.
Leo, a young orphan in Solaria, had an incredibly powerful affinity for magic. He didn't even know about it because he could never learn magic- he was too poor to try and learn from any magic academies. He was just trying to survive the streets of Solhaven until he found the lost tome of the Arcane Emperor.

Guys, does the writing get any better? I'm at chapter 5 and holy sh*t, there are so many instances of "he" in the same sentence—like, "he did a, he did b, he did c." There are so many paragraphs that could easily be connected with a simple comma instead of a period, in the end it gets really tiring, "He walked to the bed. He sited on the bed. He started to think. He..." This is very close to an actual scene, I know this is a webnovel, but d*mn, middle grade schoolers should write something more polished

Relatively inoffensive novel. It's nothing special, essentially just cultivation but with swords and magic, and falls into the same tropes and pitfalls as many cultivation novels do, i.e. an infinite repetitive loop of "oh I need to get stronger ASAP to defeat this looming threat to protect the people I care about" and constant risktaking to justify fast power increase. There is a bit of flavor beyond the focus on power growth but it's not much. In that way, it's pretty generic, but it's fine enough overall. Maybe it gets better later on, but if it does it'll be a slow and long read. I give it 6.5/10 personally.
