No you are not alone I think there should be at least a few thousand more chapters to reach a "normal" ending. At the rate things are going there should be a chance that it will link back to the main story line but for that a few hundred or maybe a thousand chapters will be needed and for a real ending which seems to be the goal of the author is at least a 2-4 thousand chapters away

I picked up the part 2 side stories / sequel because it started out great and got rid of a ton of the garbage wuxia rehashed plot line that the OG novel was filled with towards the end with little of the enjoyment of a large scale MMO with PvE and interesting premises for PvP It even started going into the broader gods domain and greater gods domain implying a lot of new lore and interesting content. Unfortunately the last 150-200 chapters has been nothing but the same plot line of rehashed fights with peerless enemies who have more peerless enemies appear after them and just constant back and forth of reactions and face slapping with no actual meat. Even the fights are dull with just one sword strike and they die, no actual discussion of their skills and what makes them better than another foe previously slain. Honestly close to dropping the novel til I get confirmation it gets good again, its just skipping the sh*t I want and redoing garbage over and over.

Can the author please look into the over emphasis on artifacts, skills, items, etc. Storyline is about M.C and his reincarnation journey, yes, but the first part has many unfinished plots and disappearing key characters that could have reduced the problems of the M.C. Now in the next alternating part the same things are beginning to happen. I am really trying to remain loyal, but even our rating is now 3.8 on here.

PART 2 The novel does PvE pretty decently, it was really enjoyable at times, but PvP is abysmal mess. When something PvP happens the author just forgets all the rules he set for the world and throws all the prep out the window, frankly speaking, he just starts writing independent stories. The novel has an incredible amount of contradiction and words written just to extend the novel. These contradictions don't come 100s of chapters apart, in way that the author may have forgotten the details, but they sometimes come in the same sentence. For example, 'x is a very rare item, even in Shi Feng previous life not many had it. . . but if someone looks hard enough it's not difficult to get your hands on it'. There's plenty more, but can't write them in replies for some reason, so won't do parts 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 for the sake of not spamming the comments.

PART 7 Classes. Druids literally don't exist. (First real mention of the class is at 1502 Chapters "Druids, use Quagmire!". It's very brief.) Clerics and Oracles used to have some differenced, but later on 3 healer classes were just referred to as "healers". The final gripe is that every class has a some kind of invulnerability skill and/or movement skill. This makes PvP so boring for the simple reason that classes have nothing separating them, they are just range/melee/magic. All fight go like this: 1) Fight a little bit 2) Use life saving skill 3) Use combat techniques 4)Use 5 more life saving skills. And that's literally every fight, either too many life saving skills or just combat technique, no class related combat/skills. Assassin is the only class who has some unique identity.

PART 6 Classes. First of all Shield Warriors and Guardian Knights are pretty much the same, no distinct differences are we told about, they use pretty much the same skills and even when there are unique skills they are described as 'this is same as xxx for guardian knights' or 'xxx is guardian knight's xxx, but for shield warriors'. Therefore they should have been merged into one class. Berserkers are designated as "Class that focuses on Defense", when the whole novel they are referred to as the class that has the most melee damage and strength. There is very little about Summoner, in fact there are more about items special effect being able to summon monster than there are about Summoner's summons. Considering every fight and every war is filled with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Summoning Magic Scroll, i thought that there would be more enthesis on Summoner, instead they were all replaced by 'rare and expensive'(as told in the novel) scroll instead of the class that does it for free: D

PART 4 Author has used 'calculations' and the whole percentage boosts to fit the current narrative, not to represent the hard work of the characters. The stats calculations are sometimes done one way, other times a different way. For someone who loses to explain different ranks and their rarities every time a new item is introduced (basic, advanced...; bronze, silver...; tier 1, tier 2...;1-star, 2-star...) there seems to be a lacking explanation/introduction to one of the more important parts. PART 5 How the f*ck no one find out about Ye Feng/Black Flame being the same person.(Obviously because of plot armor) They use same skills, same techniques, never show anywhere together, ride the same mount. Something this obvious is never found out, but spies inside the guild are able to find anything out other than that :D

PART 3 There is an incredible amount of contradicting information about the effects on things. Gear and skill percentages are not explained and from what i can understand they have no effect, fights last as long as the author wants and they end the same way- no consistency. We are also never told if stat boosts stack or are they multiplicative. If you have a 1000 agility and you get a 30%+30%+30% boost from items, 15% from a buff, 10% from a potion, 7% from a title and then activate twinfold berserk, we have 0 clue as to what his agility at then. And that's not even mentioning all the 'x% chance on attack to active' procs. Magic arrays and all kinds of AoE basic attribute reductions are even worse. If there's an array that in the description of the items says, "reduces all basic attributes by 50%", it is not actually so. We were told (in the novel) that "due to different resistances" that reduction end ups only like 15% if not less.

PART 1 The novel has plenty of problems. I have read until 1908 chapter and stopping atm. The novel is really repetitive, if you can't write new things about Zero Wing, then write about someone else. We are already jumping around all the time with sh*t like 'in a xxx leveling map a party of player are facing xxx' and then only their reaction is shown with some repetitive words like 'it seems Zero Wings has hidden themselves very well' or 'we need to investigate Zero Wing', but at the same time the only thing they talk about is how much they hate Zero Wing. Since you are constantly jumping around anyways, just write about those people, their adventures, struggles. Just skip a few days like that and when you come back to Zero Wing just write a short summary 'FYI this happened and this happened, they also cleared a dungeon and won a war after a hard battle' no need to just write same sh*t.
